Official Sign-Up Party September 1st at Brewster Street Icehouse

Corpus Christi, Tx (August 26, 2010) The 7th Annual Conquer the Coast is less than a month away and it’s time to register and sign up for an exciting cycling event!  There are new components being added this year with a free 10 mile ride, a Vendor Village and a special honor to Texas icon Nolan Ryan.  You can be part of the action with a choice of a 10 mile, 25 mile or 65 mile ride through beautiful Corpus Christi.  The 2010 Conquer the Coast starts Friday night, September 24, with the Criterium and on Saturday, September 25, hundreds of cyclists will all gather at sunrise to cycle through the coast.  All racing starting and ending at Whataburger Field.

Join the No Hitters and No Quitters, 2010 Conquer the Coast Committee, at the official Sign up Party at Brewster Street Ice House on Wednesday, September 1.   The committee will be on hand to answer all questions and register cyclists from 5pm – 7pm.  Great incentives are in store for those who pre-register, cyclists will save $15 off the price of each race, special happy hour prices from Brewster Street Ice House, and you can WIN great prizes including Nolan Ryan autographed memorabilia, limited edition Conquer the Coast jerseys, items from Bay Area Bicycles, a free ticket to Wednesday night’s Hooks game and much more including your chance to have a signed 2010 Nolan Ryan Commemorative Conquer the Coast Jersey.   And, if you have registered, even better, your paperwork is complete and you still get to be part of the raffle and meet other riders who will be riding the coast!

The 7th Annual Conquer the Coast brings avid and novice cyclists together for a one of a kind of experience and this year, an opportunity to own a commemorative Nolan Ryan number “34” rider jersey that honors the Hall of Fame pitcher’s record 7-no hitters during his magnificent 27-year major league career.  Get your adrenaline pumped and ready and be sure to join the committee at Brewster Street Ice House on Wednesday, September 1, from 5pm – 7pm to find out more about the line-up for Conquer the Coast and afterwards head over to Whataburger Field as your Corpus Christi Hooks take to the field against the Frisco Rough Riders! 

Proceeds generated from the event support the Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi Tarpon Foundation, STARRS (South Texas Area Runners and Riders), and South Texas ALS Association.
